28 May, 2003 at 10.30 a.m. The Creative Child Centre, 11th Street, Himayatnagar, Hyderabad has organised the valedictory function of its 15th year summer camp. The crafts & arts exhibition inaugurated on that day will be open for the public from 3 pm to 6 pm till 30th May.
The chief guest of the day is Mr. Syed Anwer Aziz an eminent architect inaugurated the 3 day exhibition. Speaking on the occasion he said that teaching of art to the kids should accompany the concept of observation, which he felt is minimum among Indian population. A child observes more than an adult and analyze it at the time of creating an art or architecture. He felt that white colour which absorbs all the colours has great strength. This colour has the capacity of influencing the mind and the thoughts. Some times its impact can also result in giving negative results. He advised the parents to provide a small corner at their homes so that a child feel like using it for his/her creativity. This can result in the formulation of a micro creative centre. Creativity is brought only throw exciting, expression and observation. The guest felt that the creative centres can help a child who was vexed with regular studies, tests and home works.
The students of the camp exhibited the various skills, art they have learnt with in the duration of 45 days starting from 15th April 2003 before the guest and the parents. They appreciated the children very much. A brief meeting was held and the prizes for winning children in various activities were given away.
Mr. Veda Kumar Honorary Director of the Creative Child Centre had felt that summer camp is not only nurturing the child's needs of leisure time but also trying to analyze their thoughts, creativity and observation areas to develop and mould themselves. According to the changing trends of their society and environment. He also felt that in craft work a child is learning not only making of an article with easily available material But they are also learning even the environmental awareness.
