	There has been a general feeling that the writing skills of the students in English has been deplorably low. They are observably very poor at using English for writing composition, letters etc., Since all other subjects are taught through English, there is an immediate need to improve the standard of English among the students. It is the same with mathematics as students commit many simple errors in applying the rules of Number system, integers and rational numbers for lack of proper understanding of the subject.		* Wooden String Puppetry * Film Making * Nakashi * Puppetry * Low cost teaching Aids Workshop

To Alleviate this the defect among the growing number of children the following steps have been suggested at Children's World in order to get over this problem.

ENGLISH

1. Provide additional input in writing simple and correct English.

The present syllabus and text books make a little provision for the development of writing skill. The prescribed text books largely cater for the development of writing skill.

One additional period per week is to be allotted to each class and this time may be exclusively used in developing the writing skill of students. The schools should be provided with sufficient writing material for this purpose.

MATHS

1. Provide additional input in oral drilling.
2. Provide the development by encouraging healthy competitive spirit among the students.

Every topic is to be taught completely and it should be introduced by revising the previous class (related topic). Revision by tests is to be undertaken periodically.
