Workshop !

The Puppetry workshop has been organised by Children's World for the school children. Puppetry is a media that children enjoy watching when performed and also the art of making puppets. The varied forms of dolls are made using the materials such as jute, cloth, cotton and papers etc.

Oxford Grammar School
which has recently started its 17th  Summer Camp under the Creative Child Centre has arranged a Puppet show organized by Puppet Resource Centre, Andhra Mahila Sabha. Various types of puppets like string, rod, shadow and Koyyabommalu were exhibited and they also even showed a script with shadow puppets.

"String puppets are prepared, based on the characters created by the little creative minds, who also write a relevant script for their imaginative characters. Finally they learn to give life to the characters designed and make a presentation of their work on string puppet"

Parents who attended the Annual Reports Parent Meeting watched the show and praised that it is very excellent and good. They praised it as a very fine creativity. They went round the activities done by the camp children and appreciated them very much. The school management has taken the opportunity of felicitating the ex-students of the school who secured highest total in the Inter I year B.P.C. A student Master.Sai Gokul of X C who secured National Level Championship in Computers is also honoured... The Chairman Mr.M.Vedakumar, Mrs.Saileela, Head Mistress encouraged the students and expressed their satisfaction at the students performance. Kuppila Pooja secured 432/440, B.Aradhya 426/440 in Junior Intermediate with Bi.P.C optionals. Talking on the occasion students also expressed that the contribution of the school was not less. They gave the credit to the school for inculcating them love for studies and learning experimenting and personality development through games and sports. They also praised their teachers for giving them the capacity to face the competition and helping them in learning the computers and using the library books.

Along with various programmes the pottery demonstration was also arranged and students of Summer Camp were given training in making various objects like pots, flower vase etc., The programme came to an end with vote of thanks.
